Best Dining Room Sets: What to Look For Before You Buy
Shopping for dining room sets is a bigger decision than most home purchases — the price is higher, it's harder to return, and you'll likely live with it for years. Here's what actually matters before you buy, plus where to compare current prices.
What to look for
- Read the warranty terms closely; extended coverage is sometimes worth it on major appliances.
- Measure your space (or doorway, for large furniture) before ordering — returns on oversized items can be costly.
- Check the return window — big-ticket items are worth buying from retailers with 90+ day returns.
- Compare the total cost including delivery and assembly, not just the sticker price.
